Welcome to The Rock Way Consultancy. These Terms and Conditions outline the rules and regulations for booking and attending our public training courses.
By registering for a course with us, you agree to the following terms:
1.1. “Company” refers to The Rock Way Consultancy (Pty) Ltd, including all employees, partners, and affiliates.
1.2. “Client” refers to the person or organisation making the booking and/or any individual attending the course.
1.3. “Course” refers to the public training course(s) provided by the Company.
2.1. Bookings may be made via our website, email, or phone.
2.2. Full payment is required at the time of booking to secure a place, unless agreed otherwise in writing.
2.3. Prices are quoted in South African Rand (ZAR) and include VAT where applicable.
2.4. Pricing is subject to change but will not affect already confirmed bookings.
3.1. The Company reserves the right to cancel, postpone, or reschedule a course.
3.2. In the event of cancellation, clients will be offered a full refund or the option to transfer to an alternative date.
3.3. The Company reserves the right to change course content, facilitators, or venues where necessary. Clients will be informed as early as possible.
4.1. All cancellation or rescheduling requests must be submitted in writing.
4.2. Cancellation fees apply as follows:
More than 14 days before the course: Full refund, less a R150 admin fee
7–14 days before the course: 50% refund
Less than 7 days before the course: No refund
4.3. A substitute participant may attend at no additional cost, provided the Company is notified at least 24 hours prior to the course.
5.1. Refunds will only be made according to the terms above.
5.2. Refunds (if applicable) will be processed within 7 business days via the original payment method.
5.3. No refunds will be given for non-attendance or partial attendance.
6.1. The Company shall not be liable for indirect, special, incidental, or consequential losses.
6.2. The Company is not responsible for personal property loss or injuries unless caused by proven negligence.
6.3. Total liability shall not exceed the course fee paid.
7.1. All course materials and content remain the intellectual property of the Company or our partners (e.g., Scrum.org).
7.2. Clients may not copy, distribute, or reuse course materials without written consent.
8.1. All parties agree to maintain confidentiality on any sensitive or private information shared during the course.
9.1. The Company complies with the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA).
9.2. Client data will be used strictly in accordance with our Privacy Policy and not shared without consent.
10.1. These Terms are governed by the laws of South Africa.
10.2. Any disputes will be handled through the courts of South Africa.

At The Rock Way Consultancy, we are committed to quality service and fair practice. If your circumstances change, here’s how we handle refunds:
1.1. Cancellations made:
More than 14 days prior: Full refund, minus R150 admin fee
7–14 days prior: 50% refund
Less than 7 days prior: No refund
1.2. Substitutions are welcome at no charge with 24 hours’ notice.
2.1. If The Rock Way Consultancy cancels or reschedules a course, clients may choose a full refund or an alternate date.
2.2. Refunds are processed within 7 business days via the original method of payment.
3.1. No refunds will be issued for failure to attend or partial attendance.
4.1. Submit refund requests via email to info [at] therockway [dot] co [dot] za. Include your name, booking details, and reason for cancellation.
4.2. Refunds will be processed according to the cancellation terms outlined above.
